Terms of Service

Welcome to DreamPaths. These Terms of Service ("Terms") form a binding agreement between you and DreamPaths ("we," "our," "us") governing your access to and use of the DreamPaths mobile applications, websites, and related services (collectively, the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old (or 16 in the European Economic Area, or the age of digital consent in your jurisdiction) to use the Service. If you are below the age of legal majority where you live, you represent that your parent or legal guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms on your behalf.
2. Your Account
- Accuracy. You agree to provide accurate information when you sign up and to keep it up to date.
- Security. You are responsible for safeguarding your password and any third-party sign-in credential (Apple, Google) used to access the Service. Notify us immediately at support@dreampathsapp.com if you suspect unauthorised access.
- One person, one account. Accounts are for individual use. You may not share, sell, or transfer your account.
- Account closure.You may close your account at any time from Profile → Delete Account. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms — see Section 10.
3. The Service
DreamPaths lets you create Buckets (goals) and attach Paths (Habit, Skill, Experience, Financial, Metric, Checklist, Deadline) to track progress. We may add, change, or remove features at any time. We may also impose limits on certain features or restrict access in our reasonable discretion (for example, to address security or legal issues, or excessive usage).
4. Your Content
4.1 Ownership
You retain ownership of the content you create or upload through the Service — your buckets, paths, notes, photos, descriptions, and any other materials (collectively, "User Content").
4.2 Licence you grant to us
To operate the Service for you, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, display, and transmit your User Content as needed to run, improve, and support the Service. This licence ends when you delete the content or your account, except for backups that roll off on a fixed schedule.
4.3 Your responsibilities
You represent and warrant that:
- You own your User Content or have the rights to it.
- Your User Content does not violate the rights of any third party (including privacy, publicity, copyright, trademark) and does not violate any law.
- You are responsible for your User Content. We do not routinely review user data and are not liable for it.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful, harmful, fraudulent, infringing, or harassing activity.
- Upload or transmit content that is illegal, sexually explicit, hateful, or that depicts or facilitates abuse, violence, or harm to others.
- Probe, scan, reverse-engineer, decompile, scrape, or test the vulnerability of the Service, or breach or circumvent any security, rate-limiting, or authentication measures.
- Use the Service to transmit malware, send spam, or interfere with other users.
- Use bots, scripts, or other automated means to access or create accounts, or scrape the Service.
- Resell, sublicense, lease, or otherwise commercially exploit the Service or your access to it.
- Impersonate any person or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity.
We may remove content or suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.
6. Intellectual Property
The Service — including software, design, branding, " DreamPaths," the logo, mesh background, FrostCard surface, path-type system, and other visual elements — is owned by DreamPaths and its licensors and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws. Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the Service for your personal, non-commercial use.
Nothing in these Terms transfers any of our intellectual property rights to you. Feedback you provide may be used by us without obligation to you.
7. Third-Party Services
The Service integrates with third-party services such as Sign in with Apple, Google Sign-In, and Cloudflare R2 (for photo storage). Your use of those services is governed by their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the practices or availability of third-party services.
8. Fees & Subscriptions
8.1 Free tier and PRO
DreamPaths offers a Free tier (currently: up to 2 Buckets, 3 of 7 Path Types, basic progress tracking) and a paid "PRO" subscription that unlocks the rest (unlimited Buckets, all 7 Path Types, advanced statistics). Current PRO pricing is $4.99 / month or $29.99 / year (USD; equivalent in local currency where supported by the platform store). Pricing, tier inclusions, and feature availability may change; the latest is always shown in-app and on our pricing page before purchase.
8.2 Billing, auto-renewal, and cancellation
Subscriptions are sold and billed by the platform store you purchase through — the Apple App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android, when available) — and are governed by their terms and refund policies in addition to these Terms. We do not see or store your payment-card or banking details.
- Auto-renewal.Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period at the then-applicable price unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the period ends. Your payment method will be charged within 24 hours of the period ending.
- Cancel anytime.You can cancel at any time in your device's Subscriptions settings (Apple Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions, or Google Play → Payments & subscriptions). Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — your PRO features stay active until then, and you are not charged again.
- Restore Purchases. If you sign in on a new device, or if your entitlement appears wrong, you can restore a previously purchased subscription from the app. Restore reads your current entitlements from the platform store and rebinds them to your DreamPaths account.
- One subscription per platform-store account. A given Apple ID (or, in the future, Google account) can be bound to a single DreamPaths account at a time. If you attempt to restore on a different DreamPaths account while the subscription is still attached to another DreamPaths account, you will be asked to use the original DreamPaths account or first detach the subscription via your platform store.
8.3 Plan changes
You may switch between the Monthly and Yearly PRO plans at any time through the app or your platform-store Subscriptions settings. When you switch between plans in the same subscription group, the change is scheduled by the platform store to take effect at the end of your current billing period (Apple does not bill for the new plan until the current one expires). Until that date, your current plan remains active; afterwards, the new plan takes over and renews at its own cadence.
8.4 Price changes
We may change subscription prices from time to time. Any price increase will not apply to you until the start of your next billing period, and where required by Apple, Google, or applicable law we (or the platform store) will obtain your consent before charging a higher price.
8.5 Refunds
All purchases are handled by the platform store and refund requests must be submitted to them: Apple (reportaproblem.apple.com) or Google Play. We do not separately process refunds for platform-store transactions. If the platform store informs us of a refund or revocation, your PRO entitlement is revoked immediately. Your statutory consumer-protection rights in your country of residence are not affected.
8.6 What happens when your PRO subscription ends
When PRO ends (cancellation, refund, or expiry without renewal), your content is preserved — your buckets, paths, milestones, and photos remain in your account. Your tier reverts to Free, with these effects:
- Your earliest 2 Buckets (by creation date, archived ones included) remain fully editable. Bucket #3 onward becomes read-only inside the app, with their data preserved. If you later resubscribe to PRO, full edit access is restored immediately.
- Existing Paths of any type continue to be visible and read-only on locked Buckets; creating new Paths is subject to the Free tier's path-type limits.
8.7 Cancelling your subscription vs. deleting your account
These are two separate actions. Deleting your DreamPaths account does NOT cancel a platform-store subscription tied to your Apple ID or Google account — you must cancel the subscription yourself in your device's Subscriptions settings, or it will continue to renew. We cannot cancel platform-store subscriptions on your behalf.
8.8 Free trials and promotional offers
We are not currently offering free trials, introductory offers, or promotional codes. If we introduce any in the future, their specific terms (duration, eligibility, auto-conversion to paid) will be disclosed at the time of offer.
9. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information. By using the Service you agree to the Privacy Policy.
10. Suspension & Termination
- By you. You may stop using the Service or delete your account at any time.
- By us. We may suspend or terminate your account or limit your access to the Service if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms, if your use poses a security, legal, or operational risk, or if we are required to do so by law. Where reasonably possible we will give notice.
- Effect.On termination, your right to use the Service ends immediately. Sections that by their nature should survive (e.g. Sections 4.2, 6, 11–15) will survive.
11. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free. Goal-setting outcomes depend on you — we do not guarantee that using the Service will help you achieve any particular goal.
12. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, DreamPaths and its officers, employees, agents, and suppliers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenues, data, goodwill, or other intangible losses, arising out of or in connection with your use of the Service.
Our total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service is limited to the greater of (a) USD $50 or (b) the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the liability.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations of liability, so some of the above may not apply to you. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
13. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless DreamPaths from and against any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from (a) your User Content, (b) your use of the Service in violation of these Terms or applicable law, or (c) your violation of any rights of a third party.
14. Changes to the Terms
We may modify these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes we will give reasonable notice in-app or by email before the changes take effect. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date means you accept the updated Terms. If you do not accept them, stop using the Service.
15. Governing Law & Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of China (Taiwan), without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. You agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Taipei District Court in Taiwan for any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service, subject to mandatory consumer-protection rules in your country of residence that may apply regardless.
16. Apple App Store — Additional Terms
If you obtained the DreamPaths iOS app from the Apple App Store, these additional terms apply. They override anything inconsistent in these Terms with respect to the iOS app:
- These Terms are between you and DreamPaths only, not with Apple. DreamPaths, not Apple, is solely responsible for the iOS app and its content.
- The licence granted to you for the iOS app is limited to a non-transferable licence to use the iOS app on any Apple-branded products that you own or control, as permitted by the Apple Media Services Terms.
- Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support services for the iOS app.
- If the iOS app fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price for the iOS app (if any) to you. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation with respect to the iOS app. Any other claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs, or expenses attributable to a failure to conform to any warranty are DreamPaths' sole responsibility.
- DreamPaths, not Apple, is responsible for addressing any claims relating to the iOS app or your possession or use of it, including (i) product-liability claims, (ii) any claim that the iOS app fails to conform to any applicable legal or regulatory requirement, and (iii) claims arising under consumer-protection or similar legislation.
- If a third party claims that the iOS app or your use of it infringes that party's intellectual property rights, DreamPaths (not Apple) is solely responsible for the investigation, defence, settlement, and discharge of any such intellectual property infringement claim.
- You represent that (a) you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo or designated by the U.S. Government as a "terrorist supporting" country; and (b) you are not listed on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
- Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms with respect to the iOS app. Upon your acceptance of these Terms, Apple will have the right (and will be deemed to have accepted the right) to enforce these Terms against you as the third-party beneficiary.
17. Google Play — Additional Terms
If you obtained the DreamPaths Android app from Google Play, your use is also subject to the Google Play Terms of Service. DreamPaths, not Google, is solely responsible for the Android app. To the extent these Terms conflict with the Google Play Terms of Service, the Google Play Terms of Service control for any subject matter they expressly govern.
18. Miscellaneous
- Entire agreement. These Terms together with the Privacy Policy are the entire agreement between you and DreamPaths regarding the Service.
- Severability. If any provision is held unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force.
- No waiver. Our failure to enforce any right or provision is not a waiver of that right.
- Assignment. You may not assign these Terms without our prior written consent. We may assign them freely in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
- Notices. We may give notice through the Service or to the email associated with your account.
